According to April ConstructionDive: Contractors recieved a wave of price hike notices in March, even before new tariffs took effect, according to AGC. Construction input prices increased at a rapid pace for the third consecutive month in March and have now risen at a 9.7% annualized rate through the first quarter of 2025.

Here are a few ideas to mitigate the impact of tariffs on your construction supplies.

Consider procuring products manufactured in the United States

This is the most straight forward answer.  U.S.-made products also often have the advantage of shorter lead times, and easier access to customer support or warranty services. These products also meet strict regulatory and quality standards, which can streamline compliance with building codes and reduce project delays.
